When Motley Crue announced they would be reuniting last week, less than four years after the last date of their much-hyped “Final Tour,” some people weren’t surprised; after all, look at how many bands have said farewell, only to come back for a money grab reunion. But there were many hardcore fans of the Crue who took the Los Angeles outfit at their word, especially when they were so critical of all the acts that had said they would be going away for good but ultimately bilked audiences in the end.
Over at Ultimate Classic Rock, I took part in a roundtable with a few other writers to take a look at the reunion, fan backlash, whether an apology is owed and what exactly Tommy Lee should do for his drum solo this time out.
