The Kills Revisit Past Injuries, Talk Favorite Games

When I recently began the “Archive” feature here with an interview with The Kills, it wasn’t by accident. I was set to talk to them again a few days later, and couldn’t find that LA Weekly feature for the life of me. This time around, my chat with Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince was for a 617 Q&A over at Vanyaland.

In the midst of pulling double duty on their current tour, with some dates headlining and others opening for Queens of the Stone Age, the two were in a jovial mood, and our talk was easily a top one of the year so far. We touched on those old injuries and apparent proclivity for falling victim to mishaps, as well as their feelings of being a band for almost 25 years. They bantered back and forth and busted each other’s stones constantly, and it was such a fun interview to do.
